Door L'Door

"When Jewish homes are destroyed, Door l'Door

will provide each family with a new mezuzah and other Judaica. Together,
we can restore their spirits, nourish their souls, and renew their faith."

My husband, Herb, and I went to Temple Sinai in Houston today with the intent of volunteering for their donation project scheduled for Sunday.  Little did we know that before we left, WE would be the recipients!   Purely by chance, we met Chava Gal-Or, who, upon learning that we had lost everything from the floods of Hurricane Harvey, immediately went into "mitzvah" mode.  Thanks to her, the Temple, and the kindnesses of people we'll never know who donated items to the Temple, we now have a new mezuzah for our future home, beautiful Chanukah candles handmade by children so we can enjoy the holiday, and a lovely blanket with matching pillow.  This has truly been a blessing that we never expected when we arrived at the Temple; but, it is one that will stay with us forever!!!  Thank you to all who made our day so much brighter!   Lou and Herb Mizis
